\underline{ \large \green{{\huge \bf{\dag\:S \mathscr{olution࿐}}}}}

we need to find the distance covered by the boy

 \underline{ \large \red{ \mathscr{\dag\:A \bf{ccourding}  \: to   \: \mathscr {Q} \bf{uestion} ....}}}

Boy runs twice around field .

  • Length of field = 62m
  • breadth of filed = 40m

As only length breadth is given so, we can say that field is in the shape of rectangle.

we know that,

perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

As the boy runs two times so,

Distance travelled by boy = 2 × 2(l + b)

= 4(62 + 40)

= 4(102)

= 408m

Hence,

  • Total distance travelled by boy is 408m

Answer:

408 m

Step-by-step explanation:

'Boy runs two times' means he covers the whole perimeter twice.

So, in this case,

Total distance = 2 x perimeter of field.

As field is rectangle,

Perimeter=2(length+nreadth) =2(62+40)m = 204m

Hence,

Total distance = 2 x perimeter of field.

= 2 x 204 m = 408 m
