answer

v=200v

p=100watt

t=4hours

power=square of voltage/ resistance

100w=200v*200v/R

R=40000v/100w

R=400ohm

energy consumed by one bulb...

Energy=power*time

E=100/1000*4(divide by 1000 to convert it into kilowatt)

E=0.4kwh

for 5bulb =0.4*5

Energy consumed by 5 bulb is 2kwh

the cost of energy consumed is Rs7.50*2kwh

total cost=15Rs

Using, P = V²R

we get R = V²P

= (200)²100

= 400

Energy consumed = P x t

= 100 x 4

= 400 Wh

= 0.4 kWh

Cost at the rate of 7.5 paise per unit

= Rs (7.5 x 0.4)

= Rs 3
