=> Any hydrocarbon on burning gives CO2& H2O. 2C2H2+5 O2----->4CO2 + 2H20. One mole of C2H2 reacts with 2.5 moles of O2, gram molar volumes are also in the same ratio. Hence 100 ml of acetylene completely burns with 250 ml of O2.
