- Sheet of metal required = 440 cm²
Given :–
- Radius of a closed cylindrical tank = 7m.
- Height of a closed cylindrical tank = 3m.
To Find :–
- Sheet of metal required.
Solution :–
We know that,
Area of metal sheet = Total surface area of a cylinder. [Area of a closed cylindrical tank]
T.S.A.(Total Surface Area) of a cylinder = 2πr(r + h)
Area of closed cylinder = 2πr(r + h)
We have,
- Value of π =
- Radius (r) = 7m.
- Height (h) = 3m.
Now, substitute the values in the formula of the area of closed cylinder.
Hence,
440 cm² sheet of metal required.
