Given :- A company manufactured 950 nuts and 250 bolts in a week initially, they started packaging in such a way that each box contained an equal number of nuts and bolts. At the point when bolts got exhausted the continued packaging with nuts alone so that the number of items in the box remains the same .

To Find :- If the packaging is done in such a way that a minimum number of bees are obtained then find the number of boxes with an equal number of nuts and bolts .

Answer :-

In order to find the minimum values , we need to find the HCF of number of total nuts and bolts .

so, prime factors of 950 and 250 is ,

→ 950 = 2 * 5 * 5 * 19

→ 250 = 2 * 5 * 5 * 5

then,

→ HCF = 2 * 5 * 5 = 50 .

therefore,

→ Total box of nuts = 950 / 50 = 19 .

→ Total box of bolts = 250 / 50 = 5 .

and, Number of items in each box is 50 .

the answer is 5 boxes .

Step-by-step explanation:

total no. of nuts manufactured = 950

total no. of bolts manufactured = 250

acc. to the question,

initially , they started

packaging in such a way

that each box contained an

equal number of nuts and bolts. At the point

when bolts got exhausted they continued

packaging with nuts alone so that the total

number of items in the box remains the

same. And the packaging is done in such a

way that a minimum number of boxes are

obtained

for this , we find the hcf of 950 and 250 , i.e., 50

950/50=19

250/50=5

therefore , the minimum number of boxes with an equal number of nuts and bolts = 5 boxes
