Given :

  • Diameter of base of Cylinder = 56cm.
  • Height of Cylinder = 2.25m

To Find :

  • Cost of metal used if 1m²=Rs. 80

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Diameter=56cm}

\longmapsto\tt{Radius=\cancel\dfrac{56}{2}=28cm}

\longmapsto\tt{Height=2.25m=225cm}

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{T.S.A\:of\:Cylinder=2\pi{r(r+h)}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{2\times\dfrac{22}{\cancel{7}}\times{\cancel{28}}(28+225)}

\longmapsto\tt{44\times{4}(253)}

\longmapsto\tt{176\times{253}}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{44528{cm}^{2}}

In metres :

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{44528}{10000}}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{4.4528{m}^{2}}

Now :

\longmapsto\tt{Cost\:of\:1{m}^{2}=Rs.80}

\longmapsto\tt{Cost\:of\:4.4538{m}^{2}=4.4528\times{80}}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{Rs.356.224}

So , The cost of metal is Rs.356.224...
