9. A merchant bought 60 sheep for * 120 per
sheep. He sold forty of them at * 150. If he
wants to profit 800, the selling price of rest

Each he has to sell at Rs. 100

Steps:

The total amount he purchased: 60x120= 7200

He sold 40 sheep at 150 = 40x150 = 6000

Left amount is 7200-6000= 1200

and he needs a profit of 800 hence the total amount he need to sell is 1200+800= 2000

left sheep are 20 and to get 2000 will be by,

2000/20= Rs.100.
