Let us assume the number as x .

Twice of x = 2x

9 added to twice of x = 2x+9

Result is 13

2x+9 = 13 --------------------------------------> Required Equation

Transpose 9 to R.H.S

2x = 13-9

2x = 4

Transpose 2 to R.H.S

x = 4/2

x = 2
