C.P of Laptop = Rs. 48000

S.P. of Laptop = Rs. 40000

Loss = C.P. - S.P

= 48000 - 40000

= Rs. 8000

Loss percentage is equal to,

 = 100 \times  \frac{loss}{c.p.}

 = 100 \times  \frac{8000}{48000}

 =  \frac{100}{6}

 = 16.67\%

Therefore the loss percentage is 16.67%.

Answer:

¤ Given -:

\textsf{Afzal buys a laptop = 48,000}

\textsf{Afzal sells the laptop = 40,000}

¤ To find -:

\textsf{Loss percent at the laptop to Afzal}

¤ Taken -:

To find the loss percent use this equation:

\Large{\boxed{L=\frac{40000}{48000}×100}}

Here , L is the loss percent .

¤ Concept -:

Use this equation . By using first divide 48000 by 100 . Then , divide the answer with the 40000 . Then , to find the loss percent subtract the 100 % with the percentage which will come with that equation .

¤ Solution -:

\implies{L=\frac{40000}{48000}×100}

\implies{L=\frac{40000}{480}}

\implies{L=83.333\:percent(approx)}

____________________________________

Now , subtract :

:\implies{L=100-83.333(approx)}

:\implies{L=16.777\:percent(approx)}

¤ Answer -:

So , the loss percent in which the Afzal sells the laptop is 16.777 percent (approx)
