9. Amit has a rectangular field of length 60 m and a square field of side 50 m. Both the fields nav
same perimeter. If in both fields, he plants a mango tree in each one square metre of area, what
is the ratio of the number of trees planted in the two fields?​

Answer:

Length of Square field = 50 m

perimeter of square field = 4 * 50 = 200m

Again, Length of rectangular = 60

Breadth of rect.= B

perimeter = 2(60+ B)

or, 200 = 120 + 2B

or, B = 80/2 = 40

Now , area Of square field = 50*50 = 2500 m²

Area of rectangular field = 60. *40= 2400m²

Now ,ratio = 2400:2500= 24:25

Perimeter of square=4×side

=4×50

=200m

Perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

200=2(60+b)

200=120+2b

(200 -120)×1/2=b

80×1/2=b

40=b

Area of square=side×side

=50×50

=2500m^2

Area of rectangle=l×b

=60×40

=2400m^2

Area of square : Area of rectangle

2500 : 2400

25 : 24
