Given data :-

An almirah was bought for Rs 700 and Rs 125 was spent on its repairs and transportation.

An almirah was sold at a profit of 10%.

Solution :-

{According to given}

Here, cost price ( C.P ) of almirah is Rs 700. and extra spent money is Rs 125.

Hence, total cost ( T.C ) is Rs {700+125}.

→ total cost ( T.C ) = Rs 825

Here , according to given profit percentage is 10 %.

Now by formula

→ Profit% = {Profit/total cost} × 100

→ 10 = {profit/825} × 100

→ 10/100 = profit/825

→ 0.1 = profit/825

→ profit = 0.1 × 825

→ profit = Rs 82.5

Now, by formula

→ profit = selling price - total cost

→ 82.5 = selling price - 825

→ selling price = Rs 907.5

Hence, the selling price of the almirah is Rs 907.5
