The third parcel is 210 g lighter than the first parcel=y-210

total=y+500+y+y-210=3y+290

(b) The total mass of the three parcels is 2 kg.

then y+500+y+y-210=2kg=2000g

3y+290=2000

3y=2000-290

3y=1710

y=1710/3

y=570...1st parcel mass

2nd parcel mass=500+y=500+570=1070

3rd parcel mass=y-210=570-210=360
