Two ratios

$\sf = 5:3$

Let the values be $\sf 5x$ and $\sf 3x$.

Now,

$\sf → 5x + 3x = 7.2$

$→x = \frac{7.2}{8}$

$\sf → \fbox{x = 0.9 \: cm}$

Value for 5x,

$\sf = 5(0.9)$

$\sf = 4.5$

Value for 3x,

$\sf = 3(0.9)$

$\sf = 2.7$

Now,

$\sf →4.5 + 2.7 = 7.2$

$\sf → \fbox{7.2 = 7.2}$

∴ LHS = RHS
