9. Find the area of ∆ABC shown in figure.​

In triangle ABC,

Using Pythagoras Theorem:

(AC)² = (AB)² + (BC)²

(26)² = (10)² + (BC)²

676 = 100 + (BC)²

676 - 100 = BC²

576 = BC²

√576 = BC

24 cm = BC

Area of triangle ABC = ½ × Base × Height

½ × 10cm × 24 cm

= 120 cm²
