The perimeter of a rectangle is 38. The length is 5 m more than the breadth. Find the length and breadth.

therefore,

perimeter of rectangle = 2+(length +breadth)

38=2(a + a + 5)

38 = 2a + 2a + 10

38 = 4a + 10

4a = 38 -10

4a = 28

a = 28/4

a = 7m

So,

length = (a) = 7m and

breadth = (a + 7) = 7 + 5 =12m
