ANSWER :

(A) Gymnosperms.

These are the seeded plants. The seeds in this group of plants are not covered. Examples - Pinus, Cycas.

(B) Bryophytes and Pteridophytes.

This two group of plants releases spores. The spore mother cell in these plants produces spores by the process of meiosis.

(C) Algae or Thallophytes

This group does not possess true stem, leaves and roots. Example - Chlamydomonas, Chara, Spirogyra, Volvox, etc.

(D) Bryophytes

This group of plants requires water so that the male gametes called antherozoids can swim and reach the archegonium of the female to fertilise the egg.

(E) Pteridophytes

They were the 1st to have vascular system.
