The constituent assembly consisted of members from all backgrounds. They were belonging to different religions, caste, color, creed, status, society etc. Hence the member knew what was the best interest of their community and how they wanted them to be safeguarded throughout their life. Constitutional debates were held to bring the best for the country without any political differences. However, social and economic equality can never be achieved and is not written in Constitution.

The preamble gives us the right vision and values embedded in the Constitution. The words sovereign, secular, equality, fraternity etc. implies how Constituent assembly was careful for maintaining respect for diversity and preserving unity.
