When an object moves in a circular path with uniform speed,
its motion is called uniform circular motion. When an object
moves in a circular path with constant speed, then its velocity
changes due to continuous change in the direction of motion
of the object.
Hence, the object is accelerated without changing its speed.
The direction of acceleration is towards the centre of the
circular path and is known as centripetal acceleration. The
force needed to produce circular motion is known as
centripetal force.2T
Example of circular motion are motion of the moon around the
earth and the motion of the earth around the sun, a satellite in
a circular orbit around the earth, a cyclist on a circular track at
constant speed and so on.
Ifr is the radius and t is time to go once around the circular
path, then velocity v is given by v=
i) Define uniform circular motion.
ii) What is centripetal force?
iii) Give any two examples of circular motion.
iv) Why is the uniform linear motion not an accelerated motion?

Answer:

when object moving in circular path its cal uniform circular motion

force applied to moving body in a circular path

example 1 station of earth around the sun

example 2 moving of fan

example 3 wheel of a car

uniform linear motion not an accelerated motion because in this body moves per unit time
