Answer:

The length of rectangle  = 21/2 cm

The width of rectangle  = 9/2 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the length of rectangle = (x+6)cm

Let the width of rectangle = x cm

According to the question:-

(x+3)(x-3) = (x)(x+6) -36

=>x^2 -9 = x^2 +6x -36

=>36 -9 = 6x

=>27 = 6x

=> 27/6 = x

=> 9/2 = x

Hence,

The length of rectangle = (x+6)cm = 21/2 cm

The width of rectangle = x cm = 9/2 cm
