Given :-

  • 9 men can do a work in 12 days working 4 hours a day.

To Find :-

  • in how many days can 6 men do the same work,working 8 hours a day ?

Formula used :-

➺ If M1 men can do W1 work in D1 days working H1 hours per day and M2 men can do W2 work in D2 days working H2 hours per day, then

❦❦ (M1*D1*H1)/W1 = (M2*D2*H2)/W2 ❦❦

Solution :-

M1 = 9 Men

➻ M2 = 6 men

➻ H1 = 4 Hours.

➻ H2 = 8 Hours.

➻ D1 = 12 Days.

➻ D2 = ?

Putting All values we get :-

➪ 9 * 4 * 12 = 6 * 8 * D2

➪ 9 * 48 = 48 * D2

➪ D2 = 9 Days. (Ans.)

Hence, They completed The same work in 9 days..

\huge\tt{SOLUTION:}

Let D be the number of days it took to complete the work if 6 men do the same work, working 8 hours a day

If M1 men can do the work in working H1 hours per day and M2 men can do  the same work in working H2 hours per day, then....

⟹M¹ H¹ = M² H²

⟹9 × 12 × 4 = 6 × 8 × D

⟹D = 9 × 12 × 4 /48

⟹D = 432/48

⟹D = 9
