Let the number of oranges he bought for Rs.11 per dozen be x.

So the number oranges he bought for Rs. 9 per dozen will also be x because it is written in the question that number of oranges is same.

Therefore total no. of oranges he bought= 2x

Cost of 12 oranges= Rs. 11

Cost of 1 orange= Rs. 11/12

Cost of x oranges= Rs. 11x/12

Cost of 12 oranges= Rs. 9

Cost of 1 Orange= Rs. 9/12

Cost of x oranges= Rs. 9x/12

Therefore, total cost of oranges= Rs 11x/12 + 9x/12

= 20x/ 12

Selling price of 12 oranges= Rs. 15

Selling price of 1 orange= Rs. 15/12

Selling price of 2x oranges= Rs. 15*2x/12 = Rs 30x/12

Profit = Selling price - Cost price

50= 30x/12 - 20x/12

50= 10x/12

x= 50*12/10

x= 60

Total no. of oranges= 2x = 2*60 = 120 oranges.
