9. Of the metals Zn, Mg and Fe, which removes copper (II) ion from the solution most completely? The following equilibrium constants are measured at room temperature.
Zn (s) + Cu2+ (aq) -->Cu(s) + Zn2+(aq) (Kc=2x10^37)

Mg (s) + Cu2+ (aq) ---> Cu(s) + Mg2+(aq)
(kc=2x10^90)

Fe (s) + Cu2+ (aq) -->Cu(s) + Zn2+(aq)
(kc=2x10^26)

values of Kp in the above chemical Reactions are :

  1. Kp = 2 × 10³⁷
  2. Kp = 2 × 10⁹⁰
  3. Kp = 2 × 10²⁶

in All the above cases the KP and KC value for same because the Delta then becomes zero such that [RT]⁰ is 1

  1. Kp = 2 × 10³⁷
  2. Kp = 2 × 10 ⁹⁰
  3. Kp = 2 × 10²⁶

in all the above cases in KP and KC equal
