ANSWER:-

▪︎ Given:-

  • Piyush's marks read wrongly as 65.

  • Correct marks he had got = 85.

▪︎ To Find:-

  • The percentage of error.

\rule{400}2

▪︎ So, Firstly,

• Before finding the percentage of error let us first find out the error of marks he had got:-

\sf = 85 - 65 \\ \\ \sf = 20

▪︎ So he had got an error of 20 marks.

\rule{400}2

▪︎ Therefore,

• Percentage Of Error,

 = \sf\frac{20}{85} \times 100 \\ \\ \sf = \frac{2000}{85} \\ \\\sf = 23.52 \: percent \: (approx)

\therefore The error is of 23.52 or 23.5 percent.
