total no. of cards = 9

a) odd no. between 2-10 are 3,5,7,9

total odd no. = 4

probability of getting an odd no. / total no. of cards = 4/9

= 2.25

b) a multiple of 4 between 2-10 are those which come in the table of 4 thats is 4 and 8

total multiple of 4 between 2-10 =2

probability of getting a multiple of 4 / total no. of cards = 2/9

= 4.5

We know that there are totally 9 cards from which one card is drawn.

Total number of elementary events =n(S)=9

From numbers 2 to 10, there is one number which is an even number as well as multiple of 3 i.e. 6

So, favorable number of events =n(E)=1

Hence, the probability of selecting a card with a number which is an even number as well as multiple of 4

=n(E)/n(S)=1/
