Given :- Prasad invests 34000, part of it in scheme A at 20% p.a. and the rest of it in scheme B at 60% p.a., both at compound interest. If, after two years, the amount in scheme A is nine times that in scheme B .
To Find :- How much was invested in scheme B ?
Answer :-
Let us assume that, Prasad invest Rs.x in scheme B .
so,
→ Amount (34000 - x) at 20% = 9(Amount x at 60%)
→ (34000 - x)[1 + (20/100)]² = 9x[1 + (60/100)]²
→ (34000 - x)[1 + (1/5)]² = 9x[1 + (3/5)]²
→ (34000 - x)(36/25) = 9x(64/25)
→ 34000*36 - 36x = 9x * 64
→ 34000 * 36 = 576x - 36x
→ 34000 * 36 = 540x
→ x = (34000 * 36)/540
→ x = Rs.2266.67 (Ans.)
