Let 'q' is charge on each plate ß is the surface charge density on either plate.

The electric field between the plates is uniform and it's magnitude is given by

E=ß/Eo

E=q/AEo

For uniform electric field the potential difference between the plates is given by

V=Ed

V=q/AEo×d

q/V=EoA/d

As we know,

capacitance,c=q/v

C=EoA/d in medium.

C=KEoA/d

where,k is the relative permittivity of medium....

so, this is the expression for capacitance......
