Answer:

Given,

piece of paper = 1 sq. m

= 1×100×100 sq. cm

= 10000 sq. cm

Length(L) of a gift box = 30 cm

Breadth(B) of a gift box = 20 cm

Height(H) of a gift box = 8 cm

By formula,

Total surface area(T.S.A) of a gift box = 2(L×B+B×H+H×L)

= 2(30×20+20×8+8×30) sq. cm

= 2(600+160+240) sq. cm

= 2 × 1000 sq. cm

= 2000 sq. cm

Answer :- Yes, she will be able to cover the gift because she has 10000 sq. cm piece of paper but she needs only 2000 sq. cm paper to cover the gift.
