Answer:

1) solid : Definite mass, volume, and shape.

Short Intermolecular distance.

Strong Intermolecular Forces.

2) Liquids have fixed volume but no fixed shape. ...

Liquids flow from higher to lower level.

Liquids have their boiling points above room temperature

3)gaseous :they are easy to compress, (2) they expand to fill their containers, and (3) they occupy far more space than the liquids or solids from which they form.

Characteristics of SOLIDS :-

1) solid have a fixed shape and a fixed volume.

2) solid cannot be compressed.

3) solids have high density.

Properties of LIQUIDS ;-

1) liquid have a fixed volume but no fixed shape.

2) liquids can be compressed. large pressure is required to compress them.

3) liquids have lesser densities than solids.

Properties of GAS :-

1) gases have neither a fixed shape, nor a fixed volume.

2) gases can be compressed easily.

3) gases have the least density amoung the three.
