Solution:

a)

OA - uniformly accelerated motion.  

AB - constant speed, hence uniform motion.  

BC - motion with uniform negative acceleration.  

b)

Negative acceleration - the acceleration in the direction opposite to that of the velocity.

Acceleration of car from O to A = (60 - 0) / (15 - 0) = 4 m/s^2  

Negative acceleration of the car from B to C = (60 - 0) / (75 - 45) = -2 m/s^2 (Retardation)
