Given:

The area of a rectangle is equal to the area of a square of side 16 m.

The side of the rectangle (L) is 32 m

Assumption:

Let,

The dimensions of rectangle be L×B

Procedure:

Area of rectangle = Area of square

=> L×B = 16×16

=> 32×B = 16×16

=> B = 8 m

Therefore,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L + B)

=> 2(32 + 8)

=> 2(40)

=> 80 m

Conclusion:

Hence the perimeter of the rectangle is 80 m
