The Maximum distance that can be  covered by the car is 576 km.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The dimensions of a car petrol tank are

50 cm  x 32 cm x 24 cm, which is full of petrol.

That mean it is in Cuboid form

Car's average consumption is 15 km per litre.

To Find:

maximum distance that can be  covered by the car = ?

Solution:

First we will find Volume of Petrol,

\textrm{Volume of Cuboid}=Length\times Width\times Height

Substituting the values we get

\textrm{Volume of Petrol}=50\times 32\times 24=38400\ cm^{3}

Also,

1000\ cm^{3} = 1\ litre

\therefore 38400\ cm^{3} = \dfrac{38400}{1000}=38.4\ litre

We know that,

Car's average consumption is 15 km per litre.

Therefore for 38.4 litre petrol it will cover the distance,

\textrm{Maximum distance that can be covered by the car}=15\times 38.4=576\ km

Therefore,

The Maximum distance that can be  covered by the car is 576 km.
