Resistance in parallel

Req = 1/2 + 1/2+1/2

= 1+1+1/2

= 3/2ohm

also

now in series

1ohm + 3/2 ohm

1+3/2ohm

2+3/2ohm

5/2ohm

2.5 ohm.
