Answer:

Suppose , income of A is 7x &

income of B is 9x

INCOME - SAVINGS = EXPENDITURES

7x-1200/9x-1200 = 3/5

35x - 6000 = 27x - 3600

8x = 2400

x = 300

Thus , income of a is 7x = 7(300) = 2100

Answer:

suppose the income of A & B be 7x and 9x respectively and their expenditure is 3y and 5y.

According to given data,

7x-3y = 1200 ----------- (i)         mutiply by 5

9x-5y = 1200 ---------- (ii)        mutiply by 3

subtracting Eq. (ii) from Eq.(i)

35x-15y-27x+15y = 6000-3600

8x = 2400;

x = 300;

Hence, income of A = 7x = 7(300) = Rs. 2100.
