9. The length and breadth of a rectangle are 12 cm and 9 cm respectively.
(i) Find the side of the square with its perimeter equal to that of the rectangle.
(ii) Find the side of the equilateral triangle with its perimeter equal to that of th

1 perimeter of rectangle ==2(l+b)

=2(21cm)

=42cm

perimeter of square=42cm

side=42/4 cm

=10.5 cm

2 perimeter of equilateral triangle =42 cm

it's side =14cm

perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

= 2 (12+9) = 42 cm

perimeter of square = 4× side

42 = 4 × side

42/4 = side

side = 10.5 cm

perimeter of equilateral triangle = 3a

42 = 3 a

42/3 = a

side = 14 cm
