Length = 12 m

Breadth = 16 m

Largest Length on the floor ,

Largest length = diagonal

So ,

Diagonal of the Room = √ L² + B²

√ L² + B²

√ 12² + 16²

√ 144 + 256

√ 400

= 20 m

Hence ,

The largest length of the rod that can be placed on floor = 20 m
