Answer:

Let initially its breadth be x.

Length=x+1

Area=x(x+1)

Now,

New breadth =x-3

New length =x+1+7=x+8

New area = (x-3)(x+8)

A.T.Q.

x(x+1)=(x-3)(x+8)

x^2+x=x^2+8x-3x-24

x=5x-24

4x=24

x=6

Breadth =6m

Length=7m

Area=42m square
