- The length of rectangular plot of land is twice its breadth
- If the perimeter of the plot be 180 m
To find :-
- Area of rectangular plot
Solution :-
Let the breadth of plot be x m
and its length be 2x metres
Now,
Perimeter = 2 (l + b)
⤇ Perimeter = 2 (2x + x)
⤇ perimeter = 2 × 3x
⤇ Perimeter = 6x
According to the question,
⤇6x = 180
⤇x = 180/6
⤇x = 30 m
Now,
we have,
- Breadth = x = 30 m
- Length = 2x = 2 × 30 = 60 m
Area of the plot = l × b
Area of the plot = 60 × 30
Area of the plot = 1800 m²
