let the weight of Rahism and Reshma = x

also given mean of three students weight = 40kg

one student has weight = 46kg

using formula,

Mean = sum of all observations/total number of observations

so, 40kg = 46+x+x ÷3

40 ×3 =46+2x

120 = 46+2x

or 2x= 120 - 46

2x= 74

x =74/2

x=37

hence, weight of Rahism amd Reshma are 37kg
