Answer:

perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

so,.

perimeter of rectangle =48cm

breadth =10cm

therefore 48cm =2(l+10)

48 ÷2=(l+10)

24 = (l+10)

24-10 = l

14 = l

therefore length of rectangle =14cm

I hope these will help you

AnswEr-:

  • \underline{\boxed{\star{\sf{\blue{  Length \:of\:Rectangle \:is\: =  14cm.}}}}}

Explanation-:

  • \mathrm { Given-:}

  • The perimeter of a rectangle is 48cm.
  • Its breadth is 10cm.

  • \mathrm { To\: Find-:}

  • The length of rectangle.

\dag{\mathrm { Solution \: of \: Question-:}}

  • \underbrace {\mathrm { Understanding \: the \: Concept \:-:}}

  • We have to find the length of Rectangle , when Perimeter and Breadth is given.

  • For this we have to Substitute the known or given value ( Perimeter and Breadth) in the Formula for Perimeter of Rectangle.

  • By doing this we can get the Length of Rectangle.

As , We know that,

  • \underline{\boxed{\star{\sf{\red{  Perimeter \:of\:Rectangle\:is\: = 2 ( Length+ Breadth) units.}}}}}

  • Here,

  • The perimeter of a rectangle is 48cm.
  • Its breadth is 10cm
  • The Length of Rectangle = ??

Now , By Putting known Values in Formula for Perimeter of Rectangle-:

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm { 2 ( 10 + Length) = 48cm}}

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm {  10 + Length = \dfrac{48}{2}}}

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm {  10 + Length = \dfrac{\cancel {48}}{\cancel {2}}}}

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm {  10 + Length = 24}}

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm {   Length = 24 - 10}}

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm {   Length = 14cm }}

Therefore,

  • \underline{\boxed{\mathrm {\dag{Length= 14cm.}}}}

Hence ,

  • \underline{\boxed{\star{\sf{\blue{  Length \:of\:Rectangle \:is\: =  14cm.}}}}}

\huge {\mathrm { ♡Verification-:}}

As , We know that ,

  • \underline{\boxed{\star{\sf{\red{  Perimeter \:of\:Rectangle\:is\: = 2 ( Length+ Breadth) units.}}}}}
  • Here,

  • The perimeter of a rectangle is 48cm.
  • Its breadth is 10cm
  • The Length of Rectangle = 14 cm.

Now , By Putting known Values in Formula for Perimeter of Rectangle-:

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm { 2 ( 10 + 14) = 48cm}}

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm { 2 ( 24) = 48cm}}

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm { 48 cm= 48cm}}

Therefore,

  • \longrightarrow {\mathrm { LHS = RHS}}
