Ratio of BA / AC  = 1 :  x    say.

Use the formula for a point A dividing a line segment BC in a given ratio.

   1  = (7 * 1 - 3 * x) / (1+x)

   1 (1+x) = 7 - 3 x

    4 x = 6

     x = 3/2

So the point A divides BC in ratio 1 : 3/2  or  2 : 3 internally.
