rectangle,

Length = 36

perimeter = 2(l+b)

24cm = 2(36+b)

24cm = 72+b

b= 72-24

b= 48

Step-by-step explanation:

\small{\underline{\bold{ \frak{given \colon}}}}\\ \small{side \: of \: square \:  = 24 \: cm} \\ \small{ length \: of \: rectangle = 36 \: cm }\\  \small{area \: of \: rectangle = area \: of \: square }\\  \small{\underline{\bold{ \frak{to \: find \colon}}}} \\ \small{ perimeter \: of \: rectangle} \\ \small{ \underline{\bold{ \frak{formulas \: used \colon}}} }\\ \small{ area \: of \: square \:  = side \times side} \\  \small{area \: of \: rectangle \:  = length  \times breadth} \\  \small{perimeter \: of \: rectangle \:  = 2(length + breadth)} \\ \small{ \underline{\bold{ \frak{solution \colon}}}} \\  \small{area \: of \: rectangle = area \: of \: square} \\ \small{ length  \times breadth = side \times side }\\ \small{ 36 \times breadth = 24 \times 24 }\\ \small{ breadth =  \frac{24 \times 24}{36}  =   \frac{576}{36}  = 16} \\  \small{breadth \: of \: rectangle \:  = 16 \: cm} \\ \small{ length \: of \: rectangle = 36 \: cm }\\ \small{ perimeter \: of \: rectangle \:  = 2(length + breadth)  }\\   \small{= 2(36 + 16) = 2 \times 52 = 104 \: cm} \\ \small{ \purple{\fbox{ \red{perimeter \: of \: rectangle = 104 \: cm}}}}
