REQUIRED SOLUTION
Given :-
- Height = 9m
To Find
Position of 2nd and 3rd Drop
Solution
Let Say at t = 0 1st drop fall
Assume t is the interval :-
2nd drop fall at t
3rd drop fall at 2t
4th drop fall at 3t
It Means 1st drop Reaches Ground in 3t
S = ut + (1/2)at²
- u = 0 m/s
- t = 3t s
- a = g m/s
- S = 9 m
9 = (1/2)g (3t)²
=> t²g = 2
- 2nd drop traveled for 3t - t = 2t
- S = (1/2)g(2t)² = 2t²g = 2*2 = 4 m
Distance covered = 4 m height from ground = 9-4 = 5 m
- 3rd drop traveled for 3t - 2t = t
- S = (1/2)g(t)² = t²g/2 = 2/2 = 1 m
Distance covered = 1 m height from ground = 9 - 1 = 8 m
- 2nd & 3rd drop 5 & 8 m above Ground
- 2nd & 3rd drop 4 & 1 m from top of Tower
Thank You ✌
