Given Equation

2x + y = 5 (i)

3x - y = 5 (ii)

To Find the value of x and y

Now we using Substitution Method

So, Take (i)

2x + y = 5 (i)

y = 5 - 2x (iii)

Put the value of y on (ii)

3x - y = 5

3x -(5 - 2x) = 5

3x -5 + 2x = 5

5x = 5 + 5

5x = 10

x = 10/5

x = 2

Put the x = 2 on (iii)eq

y = 5 - 2x (iii)

y = 5 - 2×2

y = 5 - 4

y = 1

Answer

x = 2 and y = 1
