Inside each atom is a nucleus which is a collection of protons and neutrons linked together by nuclear bonds. ... Nuclear reactions do indeed occur in the human body, but the body does not use them. Nuclear reactions can lead to chemical damage, which the body may notice and try to fix.

This is the best thing I read all week!!
Old ladies in their hearts of gold. Always amazes me the things they will take time to do for others.
Imagine : You lost your home to a flood Memorial Day weekend.
You walked away with your family and nothing else. Not even the clothing on your back.
That was soaked with flood water and had to be thrown away.
Total strangers came out of the woodwork to help. Someone paid for a few nights in a hotel while you waited for your credit card company to send you a new card . People brought you food and bottled water. A bag of clothing and toys just appeared at your front steps.
People who do these deeds like the Nana 9, have a tremendous impact on the people they serve. Not being able to meet your family’s basic needs is terrifying and overwhelming.
We call it hardship for a reason. It’s very hard!
Gestures like these make it a bit easier and make life’s trials a bit more manageable.
HATS OFF TO THEM!!

Are there nuclear reactions going on in our bodies?
All of the physical processes that take place to keep a human body running (blood capturing oxygen, sugars being burned, DNA being constructed, etc.) are chemical processes and not nuclear processes. Nuclear reactions do indeed occur in the human body, but the body does not use them. Nuclear reactions can lead to chemical damage, which the body may notice and try to fix.
