10. Vivek borrowed 7 30000 from a bank at 9% p.a. for 4 years. He lent this sum of money to

9.Given,

P1 =5000Rs. Time = 1o years Rate = 5% P.a

Then,

Simple intrest = PRT/100

=5000x10x5/100

=2500Rs.

and P2=5500Rs. Time = 9 years Reate = 6 %

Simple interest = PRT/100

= 5500×9×6/100

=2970Rs.

∴ Second interest is better as interest is more.

10.

Interest Vivek has to pay = (P*I*R)/100

=(30000*9*4)/100

=Rs.10800

Interest Tanuj has to pay to Vivek = (30000*12*4)/100 =Rs.14400

Gain = (14400 - 10800)Rs.= Rs.3600
