Earthquakes are unpredictable but some areas have more chances to be hit. The most prone country in terms of earthquake is Japan. It has suffered a lot of damage and immense loss of lives.

The second most vulnerable country is Indonesia. It's capital Jakarta, is not only situated at the top of the Pacific ring of Fire but also has high risk of flooding. Indonesia has the most effected area with the death toll of around 1,70,000.

Other countries which are included in the list of earthquake prone areas include Turkey, Nepal,India,Philippines and Mexico.
