9 Why do metal saucepans have plastic or wooden handles? Metal is a good conductor of heat. If the handles of the saucepans were made of metal, they would become too hot to hold and that would be dangerous. Someone trying to hold a metal handle could drop the saucepan or receive a nasty burn.

10 Plastics are used for making variety of things- from a plastic bottle or a toy to very big bodies of any mechanism. If plastic wouldn't have been there, it would be harder to make such things which need plastic. > Plastics are used in things like covering of wires to act as insulators.

cooking pans do not have metal handles bcoz metal is a good conductor of heat and while cooking one might get burner due to this..thats y most probably handles are of plastic or melamine..

if we wouldnt have discovered plastic then our life would not have been so easier and it would be nearly impossible for us to store and carry a few things..
