Chandrayaan-2: India's Orbiter-Lander-Rover Mission

Chandrayaan-2 was India's second moon mission and was a Chandrayaan-1 follow-up mission which helped in 2009 to confirm the presence in the moon of hydroxyl / water. On 22 July 2019 on a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV), Chandrayaan-2 launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, India, and is likely to enter the lunar orbit on 19 August.
The objective of the orbiter Chandrayaan-2 is to circle the moon and to provide its surface information, according to ISRO's Chief. Science-based data on lunar topography, mineralogy, basic plenty, lunar exosphorus and hydroxyl and water-ice signatures will also be collected, ISRO said on its websites.
ISRO intended to take advantage of the experience in future to further challenging tasks, such as a touchdown on an asteroid, or on Mars, or to send a spacecraft to Venus
