Group 16. There are only three allotropic elements in Group 16, oxygen, sulfur, and selenium. Only two oxygen allotropes are known—dinuclear "oxygen" (dioxygen, O 2 ) and trinuclear ozone (O 3 ) (Figure 6). Both are gases at room temperature and pressure.
