90% of runners completed a marathon. 30% of them were men. If 270 men completed the marathon, how many total runners started the marathon?

total runners be x. 90%ofx= 90/100×x=9/10x 30% of 9/10x are men=30/100×9x/10=27/100x. 270 are men in given question. 270/100x=270. x=1000
